Our procurement system
As part of the digitalization of its business processes, thyssenkrupp uses the SAP Ariba procurement system. For you, this means that in order to simplify and digitalize processes, orders and invoices are processed online via the portal of the SAP Ariba network.

Supplier qualification is a key component of supplier management at thyssenkrupp. Our goal is an optimal supplier selection based on our principles and guidelines, especially the thyssenkrupp Supplier Code of Conduct.
In addition to this minimum qualification, specific qualifications are required for certain business areas and product groups. The number and type of qualifications depend on the field of the suppliers’ business.
The qualification process is generally initiated by thyssenkrupp. You will receive an email to register in the SAP Ariba Network or, if you are already a registered SAP Ariba Network supplier, to log in with your account and start the qualification process.
Quick guide thyssenkrupp supplier qualification
The registration is a technical prerequisite for the initiation of the qualification and thus for the foundation of the business partnership between your company and thyssenkrupp.

Tender process
To be able to participate in tenders and eAuctions via the SAP Ariba network, you will have register. Registration is free for suppliers. If you need to follow the process, you will be prompted by email to register for tenders and eAuctions via the SAP Ariba Network.
Digital supplier connection
As a supplier, you can choose between two types of connections Your choice depends on the sales and transaction volume with thyssenkrupp and the degree of integration of the technical connection. See below for more information about the options.

How does registration in the SAP Ariba Network work for thyssenkrupp suppliers?
(1) Get informed and register: If you are invited to participate in an online auction or selected as a supplier, you will be contacted by email and can find more information via the links provided. Go to the SAP Ariba Network homepage and sign in.
(2) Sign in: Once logged in via the homepage, you will receive a registration link from SAP Ariba and be guided step by step through the portal sign-up. Detailed help is available through SAP Ariba Supplier Support.
(3) Set up access: As an active, registered supplier, you must accept thyssenkrupp's email invitation to establish a business relationship. You will then receive confirmation along with all access credentials.
What exactly is Ariba? And is it a thyssenkrupp system?
Ariba is an SAP product; it is a cloud application that you, as a thyssenkrupp supplier, can access easily online. All you need is an internet connection. thyssenkrupp is a customer of SAP Ariba, not the operator of the system.
How much does it cost to use Ariba?
If you collaborate with thyssenkrupp in the area of supplier management and provide documents and information, no costs apply to you. The same applies if you participate in a thyssenkrupp tender or eAuction. However, certain functionalities within the SAP Business Network/Ariba Network are subject to fees; SAP Ariba provides information on this accordingly. How can I participate in online auctions as a thyssenkrupp supplier?
Once you have been qualified as a thyssenkrupp supplier and are linked to thyssenkrupp via the SAP Ariba Network, you will be invited to participate in online auctions. Registration is free of charge for suppliers.
What happens if I do not complete registration/qualification?
Digital collaboration is an integral part of supplier management at thyssenkrupp. If you choose not to complete registration or qualification, your thyssenkrupp business partner will follow up with you and/or initiate appropriate measures.
Ariba is unstable. We need help.
thyssenkrupp has no influence over the performance of the SAP Business Network/Ariba Network. If you need assistance or have complaints, please contact Ariba Support directly.
How much does it cost to use Ariba?

Business Relationship & Contract
Is there a separate contract between SAP Ariba and the supplier?
No separate contract is concluded. By registering and creating an SAP Ariba Network account, the supplier accepts the legally binding terms of use.
Is the integration effort for connecting to the SAP Ariba Network subject to a fee?
No. Integration support and any subsequent effort are part of the subscription fees paid by suppliers.
I'm already a member of the SAP Ariba Network. How do I link my existing account to thyssenkrupp?
Go to service.ariba.com, sign in with your username and password, and manage your customer relationships within the SAP Ariba Network. For further questions, please use the Help Center.

How secure is the SAP Ariba Network, and what happens to my data?
Data transfer is governed by a formal data processing agreement designed to comply with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. These are presented during the registration process and can be accepted by the supplier. The SAP Ariba Network is certified under the Service Organization Controls (SOC) standard (Level 1, 2, and 3) and ensures security, availability, integrity, confidentiality, and data protection based on the internationally recognized standards ISAE 3402, SOC 1 (SSAE 16), SOC 2, and SOC 3.
Qualification & Questionnaires
I received an email requesting qualification. What should I do now?
Click the link in the email, which will take you to the SAP Ariba Network. Sign in or register, and follow the steps outlined in the quick guide.
Why do I have to complete multiple questionnaires for qualification?
Beyond the minimum qualification requirement (Supplier Code of Conduct) additional, specific qualifications are required for certain business areas and commodity groups. The number and type depend on the supplier's respective business area.
I want to complete a questionnaire, but the deadline has passed / I need an extension.
Please contact the thyssenkrupp representative who sent you the questionnaire; this contact is named in the registration/qualification invitation.
I have already submitted the questionnaire. How long until I hear back?
Your questionnaire is sent for approval to the responsible thyssenkrupp employee; once a decision has been made, you will be notified via a system-generated message. If you need further information, please contact the representative named in the invitation.
Can I receive the content/certificates/documentation by mail, post, or fax, or in printed form?
Unfortunately this is not possible. Completing questionnaires and/or submitting documents via the SAP Business Network/Ariba Network is mandatory in order to successfully complete the process.
I made a mistake while filling out the questionnaire. How can I correct it?
Please contact the relevant thyssenkrupp employee; they can submit a "request for clarification" during the approval step. This will allow you to reopen and revise the questionnaire.
I need to change something in the questionnaire, but it's already been submitted. How do I do that?
If the questionnaire is open for revision, click "Revise Response" within the questionnaire. You can then make changes and resubmit your answers for approval. If the button is not active, the questionnaire is still pending approval with the thyssenkrupp employee — in this case, please contact them directly.
How do I know if I filled everything out correctly?
If you are able to submit the questionnaire without issues, you have completed it correctly. Otherwise, the application will notify you via an error message. If something is filled out incorrectly, the system will display a pop-up at the top of the screen, which will also direct you to the relevant field.
I don't understand a specific question / have a content-related query. Who can help me?
Your thyssenkrupp contact will be happy to assist with content-related questions. If you don't know who that is, you can find the initiator of the registration or qualification in the notification emails you received. You're also welcome to contact the relevant thyssenkrupp representative using the "Send Message" function within a questionnaire.
Regitration: Troubleshooting
I am having trouble with registration. Where can I get help?
The Quick Guides section of this page provides detailed assistance with the registration process.
Why do I keep receiving reminder emails even though I've filled everything out and submitted it?
Please check whether you submitted the questionnaire via "Submit Entire Response" or only used "Save." If you only saved your responses, please resubmit them via "Submit Entire Response"; you should then stop receiving reminder notifications. If the notification relates to a certificate, please check whether the certificate is expiring or has expired, and provide a current one.
During registration, I am told my company is a duplicate / that an account already exists. What do I do now?
Please contact the appropriate representative within your company; the administrator of your SAP Business Network/Ariba Network account can grant you access to the existing account. thyssenkrupp has no access to this information. If you are certain that your company does not yet have an account, you can proceed to create a new company account by clicking the link in the third bullet point of the message.
"Please link me to the following ANID" / I already have an account in the SAP Business Network. How do I link it?
thyssenkrupp is unable to link you directly to an Ariba Network ID (ANID). During the registration process, please use the option to sign in with an existing account — this will automatically link your ANID.
Organization, Access & Authorizations
The questionnaire was sent to the wrong person. How do I forward it?
The administrator of your SAP Business Network/Ariba Network account can create a new contact, to whom you can flexibly forward questionnaires. A detailed guide is available in the Quick Guides section of this page.
No questionnaires are showing up in my dashboard. What do I do now?
There are two possible reasons:
(1) You do not have authorization to view questionnaires: Please contact the administrator of your account.
(2) An ad blocker is active in your browser: Please add an exception. Guidance on this is available in the Quick Guides section of this page.
I don't have authorization to view the questionnaire. What do I need to do?
The administrator of your SAP Business Network/Ariba Network account can set up your user access correctly and assign the relevant questionnaires.
The administrator/contact person has left the company. What now?
To transfer administrator rights, please contact Ariba Support.
I need access for a new colleague. How do I set up a user?
Please contact the administrator within your organization. Guidance on creating a new user is available in the Quick Guides section of this page.
How can I update my contact details?
The Quick Guides section of this page provides guidance on updating contact details in the SAP Business Network/Ariba Network.
How can I have my data deleted?
Please contact Ariba Support to initiate the deletion of personal data from the SAP Business Network/Ariba Network.

I have lost my sign-in details / I forgot my password
You can reset your password on the SAP Business Network/Ariba Network login page; please note that it is case-sensitive. If you continue to experience issues, please contact Ariba Support.
The link in my email has expired. How do I access my dashboard?
You can access theSAP Business Network/Ariba Netzwerk directly online at any time, or search for "Ariba Sourcing Login" using a search engine.
I am getting an error message related to my IP address. What do I do now?
This message may appear if you are using a dynamic IP address. The system interprets the changing IP address as a security risk and automatically closes the web session. Please contact your IT department to ensure the use of a static IP address; this can only be implemented on your end.
How can I contact thyssenkrupp?
You can either reply directly to the message/email you received, or use the messaging function within the SAP Business Network/Ariba Network: go to the relevant questionnaire and use the "Write Message" button.
