Apply directly on our job board. In the job advertisement, you will find the application form, where you can upload all required documents. After submitting the form, you will automatically receive a confirmation email. This way, you can be sure that we have received your application. If anything is missing or if we have any questions, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Which documents do I need for my application?
This depends on the position in question. The job advertisement states exactly which documents we require. This usually includes a CV, cover letter, and relevant certificates. For apprenticeships and dual study programs, school certificates may also be required. Make sure that all files are complete, legible, and properly prepared.
How can I design my CV to be clear and compelling?
The CV is the heart of every application. Start with your most recent position and work your way back in time. Highlight experiences that match the position, such as internships, projects, or previous jobs. Add relevant skills, including languages or software expertise. A clear structure helps us quickly recognize your strengths and career path. A well-structured CV shows that you are organized and know what you want to achieve.
Do I need a cover letter for my application?
A cover letter can be helpful, but it is not always mandatory. You can see whether it is required directly in the job advertisement. If a cover letter is requested, use it to show your motivation and explain why you are a good fit for the position. Above all, it is important that your documents are authentic and convey a clear impression of who you are.
How can I best prepare my documents?
Cleanly scanned and legible documents make a professional impression. Make sure that PDFs are complete and do not contain any blurring. Use clear file names such as CV or certificate. This makes it easier for us to check your documents and shows care and commitment. The better structured your documents are, the easier it is for us to recognize your strengths.

First things first: recording a video is completely voluntary. If you decide to submit a video statement, you will have the opportunity to give us an additional personal impression of yourself.
Will I be at a disadvantage if I don’t submit a video?
As the video application is a voluntary addition to your application, you will not face any disadvantages if you choose not to submit a video. Alternatively, you can answer the questions in written form.
What is a video application?
A video application is available for some positions and is always voluntary. It gives you the opportunity to show us who you are in person. Introduce yourself briefly, explain your motivation and strengths, and make sure you are in a quiet environment with good lighting. Clear sound quality will help us to perceive you in the best possible way. You can find all guidelines on length and possible questions directly in the application form.
What should I keep in mind when creating my video application?
As the video application is a voluntary addition to your application, you will not suffer any disadvantages if you do not submit a video. You also have the alternative of answering the questions in text form.
Can I watch the video before submitting it? What if I’m not satisfied with the recording?
After you have recorded and uploaded your video, you can watch your recording at any time. If you are not satisfied with it, you can simply delete it and record a new video.
Important note: Once you have submitted your complete application, including your CV and personal details, the video will also be finalized.
When is the video considered submitted?
Your video will be sent to us as soon as you click “Send” at the end of the application process.
Can I submit only a video as my application?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. We still require at least your CV and personal details. If additional documents or information are required, this will be indicated in the application form in the relevant section.

How long does the application process take?
The duration of the application process may vary depending on the position. Your documents are reviewed based on defined criteria and forwarded to the relevant department if the assessment is positive. As several people are involved in the process, it may take some time to schedule interviews or tests. We will provide feedback as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience if the process takes a little longer.
How long before the desired start date should I apply?
Always apply as early as possible, as reviewing your documents and completing the selection process takes time. Many areas have fixed recruitment deadlines, especially for apprenticeships and dual study programs. As a general rule, you can apply for a position as long as it is visible online.
Who should I address my application to?
Most job advertisements list a specific contact person. If this is not the case, you can address your application to the HR department of the respective company. If you are unsure, a quick phone call will help. Our colleagues will be happy to support you.
Can I apply for multiple positions at different locations?
Yes. If several locations or companies within the thyssenkrupp Group are of interest to you, you can apply for multiple positions without any problem. Each application will be considered independently.
How do I apply internally if I already work at thyssenkrupp?

How future‑oriented is the training at thyssenkrupp?
Our training programs are continuously developed and aligned with current market requirements. With more than 300 trainers, we foster skills that are crucial today and in the future. These include digitalization, AI, and sustainable technologies. One example is the additional qualification in hydrogen in the steel sector, which prepares our trainees for climate-neutral steel production. The quality of our training is regularly confirmed: on kununu, it achieves 4.3 out of 5 stars and a recommendation rate of 91%.
How secure is my apprenticeship at thyssenkrupp?
Training and dual studies have a high priority at thyssenkrupp. As we prepare for the future, we deliberately invest in the specialists of tomorrow. In the financial year 2024/25, 84.8 % of our trainees successfully completed their training. In addition, the Vocational Training Act provides special protection against dismissal for apprentices. With more than 2,500 apprentices and dual students, thyssenkrupp is one of the largest and most stable training companies in many regions of Germany.
What are the chances of being hired after completing an apprenticeship?
Our training is demand-oriented, which is why we primarily train for professions that offer strong future prospects in our business areas. In the 2024/25 financial year, the retention rate was 81.1 %, one of the highest in the industry. Many business units have clear retention policies. If retention is not possible or not desired, our graduates still benefit from excellent opportunities on the job market. The high quality of their training makes them sought-after specialists across the industry.
