Uhde Edeleanu supplies big diesel desulphurisation plant to Hungary
MOL Hungarian Oil & Gas Plc. of Budapest has awarded Uhde Edeleanu of Alzenau, a subsidiary of Dortmund-based Uhde GmbH, a contract for the construction of a diesel desulphurisation plant based on Haldor Topsoe technology to meet the European Union`s stringent environmental requirements which take effect from January 1, 2005.
The plant will be built at Szazhalombatta, an hour`s drive from Budapest. Mechanical completion of the plant is scheduled for completion on September 30, 2004, so that production can begin in the fourth quarter of 2004.
Uhde Edeleanu will supply this plant on a turnkey basis and be responsible for the engineering, procurement of the equipment, construction work and commissioning.
The contract is worth some 95 million euros.
MOL Hungarian Oil & Gas Plc. awarded Uhde Edeleanu this contract, won against international competition, because of its high degree of competence and the competitive price.
Uhde acquired Edeleanu from RWE Solutions last year in order to strengthen considerably its fields of activity in the refining sector.
