Two Passenger Vessels at Blohm + Voss Repair
In the next few days, two passenger vessels - the MAXIM GORKIY and the SAGA ROSE - will be docked at Blohm + Voss Repair, a company of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems. The MAXIM GORKIY, once launched as HAMBURG at Deutsche Werft, is expected to arrive on November 30, 2006, at about midnight. For the last ten years in succession, the MAXIM GORKIY has been at the yard once a year. This time, general repair work will be performed. She is scheduled to leave the yard on December 20, 2006, at midday for Bremerhaven. From there she will start a world tour.
In 1999, 2001 and 2004, the SAGA ROSE had already been at Blohm + Voss Repair. She will now be docked from December 6 to 18, 2006, for repairs on the tanks and the pipework and general classification work. Already on the trip from Southampton to Hamburg, 50 staff will be on board to make arrangements for the repair work.
