ThyssenKrupp VDM - with innovative products at ACHEMA 2006
Once again ThyssenKrupp VDM is attending the ACHEMA - the international congress for chemical technology, environmental protection and biotechnology. Since many years the team of highly qualified ThyssenKrupp VDM employees has been developing innovative steel grades for new process media in cooperation with the Chemical Process Industry.
Corrosion-resistant special alloys from ThyssenKrupp VDM help to increase the safety of transportation of hazardous goods on the road and by rail. The special grades Alloy 926, Alloy 31 and Alloy 59 have been approved by the national 'Bundesanstalt für Materialprüfung' (BAM) in Berlin and been added to the list of 'tanks for transportation of hazardous goods' (the so-called 'BAM List'). The company has already delivered larger amounts of Alloy 31 for the construction of tank vehicles for the transport of sulfuric acid waste during the last years.
Additionally, ThyssenKrupp VDM is offering higher plant efficiency in connection with highest safety standards by a newly developed product: large-size welded nickel alloy sheets in 0.5 mm gage for plate heat exchangers.
A team of ThyssenKrupp VDM expert speakers will be discussing current experiences at the workshop 'Nickel Alloys Selection in the Chemical Process Industry' being held at the ACHEMA Congress (room: Conclusio 1, Congress Center Frankfurt) on May 16, 2006.
The ThyssenKrupp VDM specialists will be talking on the following issues:・ fine chemicals
・ chlorine electrolysis
・ transportation of dangerous goods
・ material selection for the chemical process industry
