ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center: Concepts for steel
The ThyssenKrupp steel service centers are presenting examples of their products and services for the automotive industry at Euroblech. Applications from the areas of body outer panels, body-in-white, closures and interior equipment both for cars and trucks show that ThyssenKrupp steel service centers offer solutions for the most diverse customer requirements. Automotive manufacturers and suppliers are the largest customers of the ThyssenKrupp steel service centers. Other major customers include the metal and electrical industries, fabricators, the construction sector and distributors.
ThyssenKrupp Stahl-Service-Center GmbH is part of the Industry business unit of ThyssenKrupp Steel. It has subsidiaries and associates in Germany, France and Spain. A branch is currently being set up in Poland to strengthen our presence in the Eastern European markets. Last fiscal year the Steel Service Europe operating group with its subsidiaries and associates achieved sales of more than 1 billion euros and employed just under 1,000 people.
ThyssenKrupp steel service centers stand for first-class steel technology and expert advice on materials and processing issues, perfect service, and longstanding processing expertise. We offer solutions tailored to specific needs, from material selection in the development phase, to flexible production including individual customization, to material storage including sophisticated logistics concepts and IT solutions. Customers are supported with technological know-how and a true full service throughout the production of the material. Key account teams offer complete support through dedicated contacts and ensure fully optimized process chains and rapid assistance in dealing with production problems.
Our extensive product range includes hot- and cold-rolled flat products, metallic and organic coated steels, tinmill products and stainless steel. Slit strip is produced in thicknesses of 0.25 to 16.0 mm in various widths and grades and high-strength steels up to 1,400 N/mm². A special narrow strip center uses combined and jumbo coiling to create enormous cost and time savings.
Rectangular, rhomboidal, triangular and trapezoidal blanks are produced with angles up to 35 degrees in best surface finish in thicknesses of 0.3 to 4.0 mm, widths of 200 to 2,000 mm and lengths up to 6,000 mm.
