ThyssenKrupp Services strengthens position in C&E Europe
ThyssenKrupp Services AG, Düsseldorf, Germany is further expanding its services business in C&E Europe by setting up as of April 1, 2009, a subsidiary ThyssenKrupp Industrial Services Russia, headquartered in St. Petersburg.
“Setting up this subsidiary is a move patterned on our policy of following customers wherever they need us. At the same time, it is one more proactive step in market penetration and expansion efforts,” comments Stefan Klebert, heading the Industrial Services business unit on the ThyssenKrupp Services board. ThyssenKrupp Industrial Services Russia is a company whose prime customers are in the automotive, mechanical engineering, and food processing industries. Its lineup ranges from technical cleaning via maintenance and repair through to machinery dismantling and reassembly. Says Klebert: “We will continue to flexibly address the C&E European market developments and expand our services network to match customer needs.”
The Industrial Services business unit is already represented in the region through companies in the Czech Republic and Poland. The unit provides worldwide industrial services for customers in (petro)chemical, construction, metalworking and other production industries. In doing so, it offers the coordination, optimization and controlling functions for a variety of production subprocesses as well as maintenance areas, thus meeting customer strategy of outsourcing certain one-off jobs and entire processes that according to customer definition are not part of the core business. The Industrial Services business unit in its entirety is one of the world’s foremost industrial services providers, with a workforce of 23,000 and sales of €1.7 billion.
