ThyssenKrupp receives German PR Award 2006 in two categories
At a gala ceremony in Wiesbaden for the German PR Awards 2006, presented by Deutsche Public Relations Gesellschaft (DPRG), ThyssenKrupp AG won prizes in the categories "Online Relations" and "Corporate Publishing/Individual Publications". The German PR Awards are the highest such accolade bestowed in the German-speaking world and are given in recognition of excellently planned and implemented PR concepts. Each year, an international panel of leading communications specialists from the worlds of business, science and agencies selects the 14 winners of the German PR Awards and the German Image Award.
In collaboration with the agency Scholz & Volkmer, ThyssenKrupp designed the web special "Discover the world of ThyssenKrupp" which provides visitors with an emotive view of the Group. There are ten different themes to discover. Films, games and flash animations attract the visitor's curiosity. More than ten percent of visitors to the ThyssenKrupp homepage now navigate their way through the "explorer module" at www.thyssenkrupp.com/discover.
The image book "Discover Steel #2, China, Encounters" was produced in conjunction with Häfelinger Wagner Design GmbH. The book forms part of the communications measures of the Group giving a distinct profile through personal, authentic presentations - many featuring the company's own employees - in all communications media. Under the artistic/editorial concept, one Chinese and one western team provided portraits of people from east and west in China who have professional or personal links with Thyssen Krupp and steel.
