ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems wins order for the construction of six 3400 TEU container vessels
ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems - a company of ThyssenKrupp Technologies - has won the order for the construction of six 3400 TEU container vessels. Four ships will be built at HDW-Gaarden in Kiel, whereas the remaining two will be built at Nordseewerke in Emden. Thus, a total of ten container ships of the compact 3100 to 3700 TEU container vessel family are under contract. The six container vessels are scheduled to be delivered in the time from 2009 to 2010.
