ThyssenKrupp Elevator strengthens presence in Slovenia
ThyssenKrupp Elevator AG, Düsseldorf, has acquired a 100% interest in DVG d.o.o., Ljubljana/Slovenia. DVG has been active in the elevator and escalator business since 1992. The company has 70 employees and achieved sales of around 4.5 million euros in fiscal 2005. The acquisition of DVG is a continuation of ThyssenKrupp Elevator's growth strategy in Eastern Europe. The group already has a subsidiary in Slovenia, ThyssenKrupp Dvigala d.o.o. which was founded in September 2005.
Eastern Europe is a designated growth region for the business of ThyssenKrupp Elevator. The company has already established subsidiaries in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Serbia. In Russia, ThyssenKrupp Elevator was recently awarded a follow-up order for another ten TWIN elevator systems to be installed in the Moscow Federation Tower. With a total of 21 TWINs, this project is the biggest customer to date for this innovative technology.
