ThyssenKrupp Elevator AG, Düsseldorf, opened a subsidiary in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The aim is to participate in the growth of the Slovenian elevator market and become one of the country?s leading suppliers and service providers. The elevator market in Slovenia is currently small, but ThyssenKrupp Elevator expects EU accession and the introduction of the euro from 2007 to result in continuous growth.

ThyssenKrupp Dvigala. d.o.o. is run as an independent company, to allow it to respond quickly to regional market requirements. The company is managed by Vladimir Pogac and supported by the Eastern Europe Regional Center in Vienna.

ThyssenKrupp Elevator already has subsidiaries in Russia, Croatia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Ukraine. Eastern Europe is one of ThyssenKrupp Elevator?s declared growth regions.
