Thyssen Altwert Umweltservice to become part of TVF
ThyssenKrupp Serv AG, Düsseldorf is continuing to concentrate its efforts on services to industry. Effective October 1, 2002, the activities of subsidiary Thyssen Altwert Umweltservice GmbH, Essen will be integrated with those of Thyssen VEAG Flächenrecycling GmbH (TVF), Lübbenau under the TVF name. TVF is a 50:50 joint venture run by ThyssenKrupp Industrieservice and Vereinigte Energiewerke AG, Berlin, a subsidiary of Swedish company Vattenfall AB, Stockholm.
The operating business and all 122 employees will be transferred to TVF as part of an asset deal. The move will allow better use of synergies and avoid regional overlaps in the services offered in western Germany. Following the transfer, TVF will have around 250 employees and sales in the region of 60 million euros.
ThyssenKrupp Serv is organized in four business units - Industrial Services, Construction Services, Facilities Services and Information Services - and provides a broad spectrum of industrial and facility services as a one-stop shopping solution for its customers. The unique range extends from construction, maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities and full facility management through to high-quality IT and communications services. The company has over 25,600 employees worldwide and generated sales of 2.6 billion euros in fiscal 2000/2001.
