Segment and corporate center personnel changes at ThyssenKrupp AG
The Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp AG has resolved the following personnel changes:
Following the establishment of the German shipyard alliance, Ulrich Ziolkowski (61), Executive Board member responsible for finance at ThyssenKrupp Technologies, was appointed member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems effective January 5, 2005. Hans-Peter Breker (57), currently CFO at ThyssenKrupp Automotive, is to succeed Ziolkowski as from April 1, 2005. Prof. Rolf Lidl (64) retired from the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Technologies at December 31, 2004 for age reasons. His position has not been refilled. The Metal Cutting business of which he was in charge has been transferred to the segment`s Executive Board chairman, Dr. Olaf Berlien (42). As a result, the Executive Board has been reduced by one member. The Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp Technologies approved these changes on February 1, 2005.
Dr. Michael Rademacher (49), currently CFO at ThyssenKrupp Stainless, is to succeed Hans-Peter Breker as CFO at Automotive effective April 1, 2005. Dr. Dirk Hoffmann (61) is to leave the Automotive Executive Board at September 30, 2005. Dr. Hoffmann is responsible for the Chassis business unit. Dr. Rainer Eisele (59), responsible for the Powertrain business unit, is likewise stepping down from the Automotive Executive Board at September 30, 2005. The units currently headed by Dr. Hoffmann and Dr. Eisele will be transferred to Dr. Karsten Kroos (44), member of the ThyssenKrupp Automotive Executive Board in charge of Systems, and Hans-Peter Stephani (56). Stephani, who is to be newly appointed to the ThyssenKrupp Automotive Executive Board effective April 1, 2005, is currently Management Board chairman of ThyssenKrupp Gerlach. The Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Automotive will consequently be reduced by one member. A resolution on these changes is on the agenda for the ThyssenKrupp Automotive Supervisory Board meeting to be held on February 17, 2005.
Dr. Michael Rademacher`s successor at ThyssenKrupp Stainless will be Dr. Marion Helmes (39), currently Senior Vice President Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions at ThyssenKrupp AG. The Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp Stainless approved this change on January 28, 2005. Reinhard Florey (39), head of Corporate Development/Mergers & Acquisitions at ThyssenKrupp Steel, will take over as head of Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions at ThyssenKrupp AG in an interlocking capacity from April 1, 2005.
These segment-level personnel changes are consistent with the principle of job rotation among the segments at ThyssenKrupp and at the same time permit a reduction in the size of the executive boards.
