At 8.45 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2003, the starter`s gun will sound in the Sportpark Duisburg-Wedau to signal the beginning of the 20th Rhine-Ruhr Marathon, with ThyssenKrupp once again one of the major sponsors.

At 8.45 a.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2003, the starter`s gun will sound in the Sportpark Duisburg-Wedau to signal the beginning of the 20th Rhine-Ruhr Marathon, with ThyssenKrupp once again one of the major sponsors.

This year`s Rhine-Ruhr Marathon will incorporate the German Marathon Championship, the 5th Rhine-Ruhr Inline Marathon (a Roller World Cup event) and the 3rd Rhine-Ruhr Half Marathon.

ThyssenKrupp`s own team competition has a similar tradition to the Rhine-Ruhr Marathon itself. Employees interested in taking part should register with Stadtsportbund Duisburg.

Ralph Labonte, Labor Director of ThyssenKrupp AG, will award prizes to the best three teams after the race.
