MaterialsServices segment: Thyssen Schulte agrees distribution alliance for aluminum profile systems
The Dortmund-based business unit of Thyssen Schulte GmbH tsb Profilsysteme and Hermann Gutmann Werke GmbH (HGW) of Weißenburg have agreed a strategic distribution alliance to strengthen their presence on the German and European markets. Both companies are suppliers of innovative aluminum profile systems for windows, doors and facades.
Based on their traditional regional customer structures Thyssen Schulte aims to expand in northern, eastern and western Germany and Gutmann Werke in the south and increase exports. With their product ranges the two companies complement each other effectively. Gutmann will additionally be distributing tsb's proven profile systems for windows and doors, while Thyssen Schulte will market Gutmann's new F50 universal facade system.
One of the key features of Gutmann's F50 facade now to be distributed by Thyssen Schulte is a new drainage system with a new insulating web for controlled drainage. The facade is easy to install without expensive special tooling because it is based on straight cuts. The same profiles can be used for mullions and transoms. Other advantages are the new mullion-transom connector and the use of slimline 50 millimeter wide profiles. The facade profile system is classed in frame material groups 1 and 2.1.
The Thyssen Schulte profile system is well-known for its high heat insulating thermal core, based on glass fiber reinforced polyamide webs filled with CFC-free special polyurethane rigid foam, frame material groups 1 and 2.1. The tsb aluminum profile system permits cost-effective manufacture and installation. Standard hardware can be fitted and a range of accessories is available. Thyssen Schulte will have information available on the window, door and facade systems during Hanover Fair 2000 at the ThyssenKrupp pavilion.
