Investment in Brazil to develop new markets
ThyssenKrupp Autômata has been a subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp Services AG, Düsseldorf since January 2005. With 100 employees and sales of 9.0 million reals/3.3 million euros it is one of Brazil´s leading suppliers to the aircraft industry. The company offers complex, computer-controlled cutting operations, prefabrication and assembly services for the preliminary production stage of renowned manufacturing plants. Aerospace customers include Embraer, the world´s third-biggest aircraft producer, as well as system and component supplier Eleb and Eaton.
The investments have been made in a new building and in particular in six new state-of-the-art CNC lines, which Autômata can program individually in line with customer orders. At the same time, the workforce has been increased from 80 to 100. Operations run around the clock in three shifts.
"This package of investments will allow us to offer our customers improved productivity, a range of products and services targeted better to requirements and even higher quality," says Joachim Limberg, Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Services, of the investments in Taubaté. "They provide a platform from which we can expand our business and develop new markets with similarly demanding requirements to the aircraft industry."
