Hoesch Rothe Erde forms joint venture in China
Hoesch Rothe Erde GmbH, Dortmund, a subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp Technologies, has formed a joint venture with XSBC, China, to produce and market large-diameter anti-friction bearings.
XSBC, based in Xuzhou (Jiangsu Province), is a subsidiary of the state-owned company Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Inc., the leading construction equipment manufacturer in China. XSBC was previously a licensee of Hoesch Rothe Erde. The Dortmund-based company will own 60% of the new joint venture, established to expand Hoesch Rothe Erde`s share of the fast growing Chinese market for large-diameter bearings.
Hoesch Rothe Erde is the world`s leading supplier of large-diameter anti-friction bearings. These are proven engineering components used in machine building and in many new areas of technology such as tunnel boring machines and offshore equipment. The company also produces seamless rolled rings, important components of large-diameter bearings, large transmissions and wind turbines.
