In its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp Elevator AG appointed Gabriele Sons to the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Elevator AG effective October 1, 2012.

Gabriele Sons was Chief Executive of the Metal Industry Employers’ Association (Arbeitgeberverband Gesamtmetall) until July 31, 2012. Prior to that she served on the management boards of ThyssenKrupp Industrial Services Holding GmbH and ThyssenKrupp Industrieservice GmbH and therefore knows the company well. Having spent many years in various positions in the elevator sector, Ms. Sons is very well acquainted with the business of the Elevator Technology business area.
