Experience future technology at the ThyssenKrupp Ideas Park 2006
"I'll be there!" 1,000 school students from the locations of stainless steel producer ThyssenKrupp Nirosta will soon be able to live out this slogan from the campaign for the ThyssenKrupp Ideas Park 2006: on May 24 they will be traveling to the Expo site in Hanover at the company's expense for a day jam packed with interesting events and exciting activities.
"Discover technology. Shape the future". From May 20 to 28, 2006, ThyssenKrupp is staging its second Ideas Park, a technology show for all the family.
Based around the themes of Mobility, Life and Environment, and Creativity, the Ideas Park will present technology in an understandable way. High-ranking experts from the worlds of business and science will explain how they would like to shape the future. In addition there will be amazing experiments and activities for all the family to join in.
This year, ThyssenKrupp is specifically targeting young people, in particular school students. The Ideas Park is intended to arouse their curiosity and interest in technology.
A passion for technology and innovation is also one of the keys to the success of ThyssenKrupp Nirosta, one of the world's biggest producers of stainless steel with sites in Bochum, Dillenburg, Düsseldorf-Benrath, Krefeld and its precision strip plant in Dahlerbrück. So it comes as no surprise that ThyssenKrupp Nirosta is inviting all its apprentices to Hanover and making 1,000 bus seats available for employees and their families.
But that's not all: ThyssenKrupp Nirosta places great importance on maintaining close contacts with schools, because it is the young people of today who will have a major say in how our country and our economy develop in the future. The idea of sponsoring a trip to Hanover for 1,000 school students therefore met with broad approval. The schools were thrilled too: all 1,000 places were taken up in just a few days.
