Dr. Detlef Hunsdiek will take over as Chief Human Resources Officer of the Elevator Technology business area effective November 1. He succeeds Gabriele Sons, who is leaving thyssenkrupp effective October 31. We would like to thank Ms. Sons for her work and wish her all the best for the future.

Detlef Hunsdiek has successfully built up the Corporate Function People Development & Executives Management at thyssenkrupp AG since 2006. Since 2015 he has also been responsible for the transformation of the entire HR function. With the setting up of the thyssenkrupp Academy and a systematic development program for executives, Detlef Hunsdiek has created a sustainable framework for HR work at thyssenkrupp.

Dr. Stefan Schmitt will take over as Head of Corporate Function People Development & Executives Management alongside his position as Head of Corporate Function HR Strategy. Stefan Schmitt has worked for thyssenkrupp since 2008 in roles including Deputy Head of Corporate Function Strategy, Markets & Development, Managing Director of thyssenkrupp Management Consulting GmbH, and CEO of thyssenkrupp Asia Pacific.
