Brightly colored buildings of steel
ThyssenKrupp Stahl is creating new architectural highlights. In the future, all new buildings, production shops and facilities will feature striking, harmonious color schemes instead of the usual dull, uniform industrial shades.
Color designer Friedrich Ernst von Garnier has developed a new, widely diversified spectrum of colors for ThyssenKrupp Stahl`s steel buildings. The "ReflectionsOne" collection includes light and dark as well as warm and cool tones. The palette offers developers endless possibilities for constructing buildings which blend in perfectly with their surroundings. "The more space an industrial facility takes up, the more important it is to ensure that it harmonizes with the surrounding landscape," says Garnier.
Organized variety of colored steel
ThyssenKrupp Stahl has already used its new corporate colors in a number of buildings. The latest example is the new hot-dip coating line (FBA 8) in Dortmund featuring a highly attractive and harmonious color scheme, with floor and walls in pale yellow and green. Even the plant units have been given a color makeover, with the entry zone and strip cleaning line in pale blue, pale and dark green, and the strip looping towers in striking shades of bright pink and dark green. The furnace is in cheerful light and dark blue. Garnier says "The FBA 8 is a much more sensuous building - inside and out - than other industrial edifices. It is an example of how industrial landscapes can enrich people`s lives."
