Best owners found for Henschel
As part of the active portfolio management strategy practiced at ThyssenKrupp, the ThyssenKrupp Technologies segment has disposed of two companies with economic effect as of October 1, 2002. Both were sold to best owners.
Henschel Industrietechnik GmbH, Kassel, with 170 employees and sales of 26 million euros (2001/02) was bought by the KERO Group, Dieburg, while Henschel Recycling Technik GmbH & Co. KG, also of Kassel, with 50 employees and 2001/02 sales of 12 million euros was bought by the Nord/GB Group, Hamburg.
Based on commitments made by the purchasers and their descriptions of the business prospects for the acquired companies, ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG in both cases expects a positive future for the companies and above all for the employees concerned.
Upon the sale of the two companies mentioned, the only remaining activities of ThyssenKrupp Technologies AG in Kassel are those combined in ThyssenKrupp Transrapid GmbH. In addition, the ThyssenKrupp Group provides general site services for the Kassel-Mittelfeld industrial park via ThyssenKrupp Expersite GmbH.
