Dear customers, dear employees,
the Corona pandemic is challenging us all. While public life is powering down, fears about the future are spreading among a large number of people. Will we get through the pandemic healthy? How will the economy, how will my company recover? What will change?
Many questions are reaching us on the Executive Board in these weeks as well. Our most important message is: We protect people and we protect our business. In that order. Our top priority is to protect our employees all over the world. Health is always the most important asset. At the same time, we do everything we can to maintain business operations as far as possible - naturally in compliance with strict hygiene and safety regulations.
Wherever possible, we have therefore moved our workplaces to the home office. In some areas, we had to switch to short-time work due to a sharp drop in demand. It will not be possible to avoid an increase in short-time work as the crisis progresses. Despite all the restrictions, we are there for our customers in the best possible way - flexibly and with full commitment.
We are very proud and grateful for the great matter-of-course attitude with which our colleagues are adapting to this challenging situation. And not only within the company. With a great deal of solidarity and creativity, teams as well as individuals are socially committed to help people in need.
Dear customers, dear employees: Thank you that we can continue to count on you. We keep our distance and yet move closer together. At thyssenkrupp we are facing the crisis with great commitment. At the same time we are driving forward the transformation of our company with great confidence. But above all we look forward to the time when we can return to - albeit new - normality. When that time comes, we will be ready - with your support.
Stay healthy!
