Undercarriages

Currently, thyssenkrupp manufactures undercarriages for the following machines: Mini-excavators (0.5 t to 6 t), excavators and bulldozers (7 t to 50 t), and earthmovers used in mining (50 t to a current weight of 300 t). We produce all of the undercarriage parts in accordance with the DIN EN 9001 quality management standard and the ISO 14001 environmental management standard. Nearly every leading construction machinery manufacturer in the world relies on our production quality standards.

Track chains

No matter what size they are or in which vehicle they are used – heavy-duty track chains, sealed and greased track chains and lubricated track chains have to be especially robust, durable and easy to maintain because they are most often used where the ground is uneven, harsh and loose. For this reason, the thyssenkrupp brand Berco places a great emphasis on quality in the production of its track chains.

All of our track chains are especially developed for the increased durability of pins and bushings.

Supply range:

  • Heavy-duty versions with reinforced links and shoes, stronger pins and bushings for high impact application and highly abrasive soil

  • BPRTM version (Berco Positive Pin Retention2TM) for high impact application improves the working lifetime of components by mechanically locking the pin to the link, which results in the avoidance of ‘end-play generation’ and ‘pin walking’ in a track chain

  • All weather version for temperatures ranging from -45°C to 50°C

Rollers

Rollers by the thyssenkrupp brand Berco are designed and manufactured for long service life, which results in low hourly operating costs. Through-hardened and surface-hardened roller shells have a high wear resistance and ensure an increased structural strength and resistance to deformation. The lubrication sealing system ensures lifetime performance with no maintenance during tread life.

Idlers

No matter if they are casted, fabricated or forged, Berco idlers offer high structural strength and wear resistance. The lubrication-sealing system ensures lifetime performance with no maintenance during tread life.

Drive sprockets

Every year we produce over 20,000 sprockets and segment groups with a total weight of over 2,000 tons. Both casted and forged sprockets are induction hardened over the teeth to increase their wear resistance.

Track shoes

Obtained from hot rolled profiles, track shoes have a high level of hardness for wear resistance, as well as a high strength to resist bending and breaking.

We offer track shoes for dozers with chain pitches up to 317.5 mm and track shoes for large excavators with chain pitches up to 395 mm.

  • Large selection of track shoe design: different lengths with mud relief holes, clipped corners, bent edges

Undercarriage systems

In addition to the production of individual undercarriage components, we offer our customers complete track systems (ready-to-install) and Compact Track Loaders (CTLs). For special applications, together with our customers, we develop solutions that are optimized and tailor-made for their respective needs.
