Q&A
Those who follow Dennis Aogo on Instagram take part in every aspect of his life: Whether it’s on the field, in the gym, on the beach or at home with his family - the Stuttgart professional simply loves to share his daily life with his fans.
And his Instagram stories, you may notice one very special accessory: the elevator in his apartment. Dennis Aogo and elevator selfies belong together like the VfB and Commando Cannstatt. Every day, the soccer player shares several selfies in casual poses and different outfits with his more than 76,000 followers.
Obviously, this also caught the eyes of our social media team, which contacted the 31-year-old Bundesliga professional via Instagram. The mission: to inspire the selfie enthusiast for a joint project as an "elevator influencer" - after all, we are one of the world's leading manufacturers of elevator solutions. Dennis Aogo closed the deal and agreed immediately. We quickly learned about his commitment to Common Goal. And because we also support various sports projects ourselves, we agreed to join forces to do good! Elevators, selfies, soccer and a good cause - the kick-off for the #aufwärtsspiel was only a formality under these fantastic conditions.
Common Goal is a movement where soccer players, managers and fans share a common mission: to make the world a better place through soccer. The members of the initiative donate at least one percent of their annual salary to a collective fund.
Our selfie challenge runs from May 2nd, 2018 until May 9th, 2018 (entry deadline: 23:59 CET).
Each person can only take part in the competition once. Of course, you are free to post multiple elevator selfies on Instagram to increase your chances of meeting Dennis Aogo. But the golden rule for a fair game is: Everyone gets only one digital shot! That means: Only your most creative entry is in the race. One final tip: posting the same image 20 times or only slightly modifying the image will not increase your chance of winning.
For legal reasons, you must be 18 years or older to play along in the #aufwärtsspiel. Please also remember that you must have a permanent residence in Germany . Very important: Use the hashtag #aufwärtsspiel and the handle @thyssenkrupp in your posts comment.
It should be clear to everyone: Pornographic, sexist, racist or violence glorifying entries are excluded from the competition and will, if necessary, be legally pursued.
By contributing a selfie, you support Common Goal. The movement awards its collective funds to charitable organizations from all over the world. These organizations use soccer as an instrument to address social issues - from gender equality in India to peace-building in Colombia and the integration of refugees in Germany. In coordination with Common Goal, Dennis Aogo as a Common Goal member decides exactly which project the donations go into.
If you are one of the three lucky winners in the #aufwärtsspiel, you will win thrice: a personal meet-and-greet with Dennis Aogo on our test tower in Rottweil, a complete set of our exclusive adidas thyssenkrupp collection and a jersey personally signed by Dennis Aogo.
After the end of the competition (deadline: May 9th, 2018, 11:59 p.m.), thyssenkrupp will select a total of 20 elevator selfies from the hopefully numerous entries for Dennis Aogo. After all, he has little time between training, match days and family time to look at hundreds of selfies himself.
