ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer receives “Supplier of the Year 2006” award
This year, General Motors bestowed its “Supplier of the Year Award” on only 89 of its roughly 3,200 suppliers worldwide. The honor for the “Best of the Best” was presented in Orlando/Florida. Body and tooling specialist ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer received the award for the 7th time in recognition of its outstanding performance in several projects, including the construction of door lines and tooling for the new Corsa model as well as a body-in-white line for the Gliwice plant in Poland.
“ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer achieved the award based on an outstanding performance in 2006,” said Bo Andersson, GM Group Vice President Global Purchasing and Supply Chain. “We appreciate their energy, hard work and dedication.”
“Credit for this award has to go to our employees. They gave their all in numerous projects to support GM with innovative and efficient production technologies,” said Bernd Becker, Chief Executive of ThyssenKrupp Drauz Nothelfer.
General Motors has been presenting its “Supplier of the Year Award” since 1992. Winners are selected by an international team of experts from purchasing, engineering, production and logistics. The decision is based on supplier performance in the areas of quality, service, technology and price.
