Challenging and individual
As part of its program of developing young managers, Essen-based ThyssenKrupp RST Rohstoffe und Technik GmbH is once again seeking qualified employees for its own sales trainee program (18 months)
ThyssenKrupp RST is a globally successful company involved in trading and service activities for raw materials and industrial products. This includes the international procurement and supply of alloys, metals, fuels and minerals as well as integrated solutions for marine and civil engineering projects. Roughly 530 employees generated sales of 1.8 billion euros last fiscal year.
Applicants will be screened in August/September 2005 and selected on the basis of an internal test process. Training is then scheduled to commence in September/October. Applicants must hold a university degree.
"Our trainee program is challenging and tailored to individual participants. We attach particular importance to giving our trainees practical experience in as many parts of our organization as possible. Applicants are expected to have an above-average academic record and to have completed various internships in Germany and abroad. Very good English and confident computer skills are a prerequisite," explains Claudia Handtke, head of HR.
The trainees will be offered a great deal: alongside an appropriate salary, the program is aimed at expanding knowledge of foreign languages, IT and technology. Other development areas include law, accounting, controlling and logistics. Handtke: "But we will also show the candidates what it means to work professionally in a major corporation."
Claudia Handtke's experience with the program so far is very positive. Earlier this year she received over 100 applications. Eight of them made it through to the internal selection process, and five were then offered a place on the program.
Anyone interested in getting onto the program should e-mail their application (cover letter/résumé, no attachments) to email@example.com by the beginning of August. Claudia Handtke is available on +49 201 188-3737 to provide further information.
