All-in parts management

As of July 1, 2007, ThyssenKrupp Xervon GmbH, Gelsenkirchen, has taken over all materials management including logistics services at the mineral oil refinery in Lingen. Among the clients is BP. This comprises the management of around 16,000 items and other technical goods for BP alone. Initially, the contract has a period of eight years and permits utilization of the related logistics center on the part of third-parties.

In the MOLINA Mobilien GmbH & Co. KG complex, erected in 2006, the technical goods are stored under ideal conditions in a modern high-bay warehouse of 7,200 square meters as well as on a paved outdoor storage area of 20,000 square meters. A total of 24 experienced employees are in charge of meeting the high quality and safety demands in terms of standardization, purchase, incoming goods, receiving inspection, order-picking and routing within the refinery.

"With this project, the activities of ThyssenKrupp Xervon to date in Emsland – full-service at the special refinery of H&R ChemPharm GmbH, Salzbergen, maintenance at SRS EcoTherm GmbH, Salzbergen, pipeline prefabrication at Lingen, and pipeline assembly for other customers as well as scaffolding in the nuclear power plant, Lingen – are supplemented by an important service ingredient,” says the Chairman of ThyssenKrupp Xervon’s Management Board, Dr. Niclas Müller, delighted at the signing of the contract. Only a few weeks ago, the enterprise has signed a full-service contract on the maintenance of the production plants with VESTOLIT GmbH & CO. Kg at Chemiepark Marl.

Erdöl-Raffinerie Emsland, wholly owned by BP, is THE processor of German crude oils and also processes numerous foreign. Apart from conventional gasoline and diesel fuels, kerosene and light fuel oil are also produced. Moreover, cyclohexane, n-paraffin and sulfur are produced as petrochemical products. Specialty products are calcine and LPG as well as electricity.
