Top ranking for ThyssenKrupp website - now with more features and new design

As in the previous two years, ThyssenKrupp has the best German company website on the internet. That`s the result of a study called "Webranking 2004" carried out by the Swedish consulting firm Hallvarsson and Hallvarsson. International analysts and investors were asked to rate the websites of Europe`s 150 largest companies in a survey commissioned by Financial Times Europe.

The ThyssenKrupp website has now been extended with three important innovations: a revised design gives the pages a modern, light and friendly appearance: a new menu item called "Commitment" documents the Group`s varied activities in the community; and the website now also includes a dedicated section called "Adventure Future". Users can enter the product worlds of ThyssenKrupp either by clicking on a link from the homepage or using the URL . Images, animations and films convey the content of each world in an understandable and entertaining way. Each theme has a "Knowledge" section as well as a "Gallery" with photos and films on the topic. There are also pictures and information about the people involved as well as an "Experiment" section where users can apply their new-found knowledge in a game.

Technical improvements have also been implemented. Faster loading, clearer structures and improved readability by screen readers (software for the visually impaired), handhelds and other modern devices guarantee greater freedom from barriers and unalloyed enjoyment of the website`s new attractions.

Thanks to the numerous enhancements, the multiple award winning website of ThyssenKrupp AG is now even more user-friendly. It conveys emotionality and raises enthusiasm for the "Adventure Future".
