Strong partnership in vehicle development

ThyssenKrupp Automotive acquires interest in Bertrandt AG

ThyssenKrupp Automotive AG, Bochum, is buying a 25.2 percent stake in Bertrandt AG, Ehningen. The partnership will strengthen the positions of both companies in the international auto industry. For customers the move will result in an optimum combination of ThyssenKrupp Automotive`s body, chassis and powertrain activities and Bertrandt`s development know-how.

The two companies share the aim of offering the international auto industry complete expertise in terms of technology, development, processes and production. The move is designed to meet increasing market requirements as manufacturers outsource larger projects from modules through to complete vehicles. The acquisition is still subject to the approval of the Federal Cartel Office.
