ThyssenKrupp VDM first company in Germany to be awarded health management certification by TÜV NORD
ThyssenKrupp VDM is the first and to date only company in Germany to be awarded health management certification by the TÜV NORD inspection agency. The Werdohl-based company was selected as the first out of around 130 companies who took part in the initiative. “We’re very pleased to have received the certificate because we’ve been working intensively in this area for years. The certification process was therefore an ideal opportunity to put our system to the test. We can now see where improvements can be made,” says Dr. Jürgen Olbrich, CEO of ThyssenKrupp VDM.
The company was certified in connection with the nationwide health-at-the-workplace initiative HAWARD launched by TÜV NORD with the support of BARMER GEK and other companies to promote and assess company health management systems. “Overall ThyssenKrupp VDM has a very good health management concept which is lived out in all areas of the company,” said Ulf Theike, chief executive of TÜV NORD CERT, presenting the certificate.
