All from a single source: multi-trade capability results in biggest ever international chemical plant construction project for PeinigerRöRo

Gelsenkirchen-based PeinigerRöRo GmbH is the single-source supplier for all the scaffolding, insulation, fire and corrosion protection work to accompany the extension of an ethylene complex belonging to Noretyl in the Norwegian town of Rafnes.

Worth almost ?5.1 million, this is the biggest ever international chemical plant construction project booked by PeinigerRöRo. The award demonstrates that with its Single-Source Supplier of Industrial Services, the Company is right on course, both nationally and internationally.

One of the reasons why PeinigerRöRo has been awarded the contract is its extensive experience in executing international projects, particularly in Norway, where the Gelsenkirchen-based company provided corrosion protection and scaffolding services during the extension of a natural gas processing plant in Kolsnes. The idea of having one and the same site organization with a single point of contact for several trades persuaded the customers to assign insulation and fire protection to PeinigerRöRo, too.

By the time the construction work is completed in December of this year, some 1,000 tonnes of scaffolding will have been deployed as well as 30,000 square meters of insulation and fire protection systems processed and 300 tonnes of pipework coated. Since the end of March, 60 to 80 employees from Germany have been working on the site.
