Krupp Uhde enhances its activities in the pharmaceutical sector by taking over PhC-Pharma Consult of Heidelberg
The Dortmund-based engineering company Krupp Uhde GmbH took over PhC-Pharma Consult, hitherto a member of ThyssenKrupp Immobilien, with effect from May 1, 2000.
The new company will trade under the name of Uhde-Pharma Consult. As a result of the take-over, Krupp Uhde will enhance its activities in the field of pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and foodstuffs, all of which are already handled by Krupp Uhde’s subsidiaries overseas.
The history of these two companies infers optimum prerequisites: PhC-Pharma Concept, which was founded in 1972 at Heidelberg, has handled over 1500 reference projects and is thus an experienced consultant in strategic planning and process engineering. In view of the partnership with the engineering and plant construction company of international repute, Krupp Uhde GmbH, it is now possible to offer highly competent comprehensive services in these fields, in close cooperation with our customers, from consulting to the design and construction of complete plants.
Krupp Uhde is a company of the Engineering segment of the Thyssen Krupp Group and has a workforce of 3,500 employees worldwide. The company´s activities concentrate on the design and construction of chemical and other industrial plants in the following fields: fertilisers, organic chemicals and plastics, electrolysis processes, oil & gas and energy technology.
