ThyssenKrupp donates 10.000 Euro to the Altendorf project „Strong children – fit for future“

ThyssenKrupp donated 10.000 Euro to the project „Strong children – fit for future“ in Essen. At an internal employee event on September 26th, Dr. Heinrich Hiesinger, CEO of ThyssenKrupp AG, handed a cheque to the mayor of Essen, Reinhard Paß. The project “Strong children – fit for future” will prepare preschool children for elementary school and take the first steps with them, when classes start. This ensures a smooth transition from playschool to school and enhances the children’s’ and parents’ bond with the school. Teachers accompany the whole process in which the children are made familiar with future learning contents and classmates.

At the employee event at the ThyssenKrupp Quartier in Essen employees celebrated the completion of the Quartier’s second construction phase and welcomed newly arrived colleagues. Over 3.000 employees now work in 115.750 qm² office space at the Quartier that includes a daycare facility for children.
