The Personnel Committee of the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp AG has decided to recommend to the Supervisory Board that Guido Kerkhoff (43), member of the Board of Management of Deutsche Telekom AG, be appointed member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp AG as successor to Dr. Alan Hippe. Dr. Alan Hippe is leaving the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp AG at his own request at March 31, 2011.

The appointment of Guido Kerkhoff is subject to the approval of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Telekom AG, which must agree to the premature cancellation of Guido Kerkhoff’s contract. Following this approval, the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp AG will pass a corresponding resolution to appoint Guido Kerkhoff. This will also include the date on which the appointment will commence.
