ThyssenKrupp sells real estate portfolio

ThyssenKrupp has sold a portfolio of commercial real estate assets to a consortium comprising a real estate fund managed by Deutsche Bank, RREEF Global Opportunities Fund II, as well as the investors Harder & Partner, Hockenheim, and Habacker Holding, Düsseldorf. Harder & Partner and Habacker Holding are specialized real estate developers and managers. A corresponding agreement was signed.

In connection with the planned relocation of ThyssenKrupp AG to the new “Quartier” in Essen, the real estate portfolio includes the “Dreischeibenhaus” in Düsseldorf, the current location of the ThyssenKrupp headquarter until moving to Essen. The portfolio includes a total of 25 real estate assets, including further office buildings and other commercially used assets in Germany, mainly in the Rhine-Ruhr region. It also includes the former headquarter building of ThyssenKrupp Automotive in Bochum as well as several assets rented to non-group companies.

The acquisition is still subject to approval by the regulatory authorities and the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp.

With sales of 47.1 billion euros and 188,000 employees in over 70 countries, ThyssenKrupp is one of the world's major technology groups and occupies excellent positions on the international markets. The three main business areas of steel, capital goods and services, organized in five segments - Steel, Stainless, Technologies, Elevator and Services - mark out the Group's areas of competence.
