Sustainability management

Sustainability is firmly embedded in our corporate mission and our strategy programs. Responsible Executive Board member for sustainability is Dr. Jürgen Claassen. He is supported by the Corporate Center Corporate Sustainability, Environment & Politics, which comprises the Functional Areas Sustainability Management, Environment & Climate, Market Research and Politics, as well as the Group Representative Offices in Berlin and Brussels.

Sustainability as a cross-function brings together experts from the different functional departments and from the operating units in order to develop business opportunities and minimize risks.

Therefore we focus our actions firmly on the sustainability requirements of our customers. Further more we enhance our ability to respond to future issues, and at Group level we expand and develop the established good examples of sustainable practices we have.

Stakeholder dialogue

A continuous dialogue with customers, investors, employees, politicians, neighbors and other representatives of society is a mainstay of our long-term, trusting cooperation. This is based on a transparent communication about sustainability issues, which will be expanded continuously. Transparency and stakeholder dialogue thus make a decisive contribution to the business success of ThyssenKrupp.
