Building bridges

ThyssenKrupp, WAZ Mediengruppe and the foundation “Partner für Schule NRW” have launched a competition for schools in North Rhine-Westphalia entitled “Building bridges – connecting people”. In the competition 100 elementary schools in North Rhine-Westphalia won free technology kits on the subject of bridge building. The winners of the technology kits were selected from a large number of applications by a panel of judges. We also presented a further 20 kits to schools during our Quarter Days in September 2010.

With the kits, students have fun while learning about technology. Teachers at the winning schools were trained to use the materials provided to enhance the long-term benefit for the schools.
