Innovation and technological capabilities for tomorrow's world: Our scientists and development engineers are concentrating on today's key technologies in order to secure ThyssenKrupp's leading position in high-quality products. Many of our development projects and the innovations they create are directed at supporting sustainable practices towards the environment. We want to develop products and services for our customers that offer high energy and resource efficiency and for this we also focus on optimizing our own processes. As a technology- and service-based Group and solution provider for our customers, we develop innovative processes and materials which open the door to new technological solutions.

Approximately 3,000 scientists and engineers are currently working on research and development projects, all of them geared to strengthening our core capabilities in products and processes. The market-oriented development projects are carried out close to the customers by our operating companies, which collaborate on joint projects in a close-knit network.
