Born in 1964, studied metallurgy, gained doctorate in business administration.

Career:
Dr. Müller commenced his professional career in 1991 at Hüttenwerke Krupp Mannesmann in Duisburg as production process engineer; in 1995 he was appointed Management Assistant, and then in 1996 took over responsibility for the converter operation. He has over eight years of experience in steel production.
Dr. Müller joined the ThyssenKrupp Group in 2000 as Management Board member of the steel mill service provider DSU Gesellschaft für Dienstleistungen und Umwelttechnik (now ThyssenKrupp MillServices & Systems), responsible for Marketing and Sales; in 2004 he rose to the position of CEO and, at the same time, Management Board member of ThyssenKrupp Industrieservice Holding GmbH.
From October 2006 to September 2008 Dr. Müller headed the ThyssenKrupp Xervon group. Since October 2008, Dr. Müller has been a member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Services AG; he was responsible for the Special Products business unit until June 2009, when he took over management of the major CSA steel mill project in Brazil until the end of the year. Since October 2009, Dr. Müller has been CEO of the Plant Technology Business Area of ThyssenKrupp AG.
