With 500 branches in 40 countries, the Materials Services business area is focused on the global distribution of materials and the provision of complex technical services for the production and manufacturing sectors.

Materials, commodities and services are the core business of the Business Area Materials Services.

Premium materials just in time

The business area has a global presence with a functioning network of companies, branches and agencies. The wide range of products and services offered locally includes almost every type of material. In Germany alone, we supply some 150,000 articles ex stock. A sophisticated warehouse, logistics and information logistics system with central and branch warehouses provides the basis for rapid delivery with lowest-possible inventories. All customers receive their materials not only just in time, but in exactly the sizes and shapes they need, whether as one-off items or in quantities of up to several million per year.

One-stop shop

Our products include carbon and stainless steel, tubes and pipes, nonferrous metals and plastics. We also supply new and used industrial plant and equipment. In addition we provide a range of tailored materials services, from processing and logistics to warehouse and inventory management through to supply chain management. Our service centers and branches have a large range of processing equipment on which material can be slit, sheared, plasma or laser cut, sawn, drilled, milled and coated. On request, materials can also be TÜV-certified.

Combining project management expertise, global connections, specific market knowledge and comprehensive services, Materials Services/ThyssenKrupp Materials International supplies customers throughout the world with metals, alloys, minerals, industrial gases and coke. We also provide innovative technical and infrastructure services in railway equipment, civil engineering, port construction, plant and steel mill services covering all aspects of industrial production. The portfolio also includes consultancy and planning services, equipment hire, customer and spare parts services as well as installation, maintenance and repair of machinery, plant and technical structures.
