Austria
Austria is an important and rising market for ThyssenKrupp. In fiscal year 2007/08, sales to customers in Austria totaled €763 million. The strongest segments were Services and Steel with a 64% share of sales. Local companies in Austria - mainly in the Elevator and Services segments - currently employ almost 1,000 people. Despite the increasing and significant presence of the Group in the Central and Eastern European countries, some Austrian ThyssenKrupp companies are the starting point for our Group's business activities in this region.
