The United Kingdom is the No. 5 foreign market for ThyssenKrupp, with sales reaching almost €2 billion in 2006/2007. All ThyssenKrupp segments are represented in the United Kingdom by local subsidiaries. The majority of the total of 5,700 Group employees in this market work for the UK subsidiaries of the Steel segment. Our Services segment employs around 30% of the ThyssenKrupp workforce in UK. ThyssenKrupp Elevator manufactures, sells and services elevators and escalators in the UK.
