ThyssenKrupp support projects for tsunami victims
Construction of medical centers in Kanyakumari and Nagapattinam
Around €200,000 is planned for the construction of medical centers in Kanyakumari and Nagapattinam. Together with other German companies in India, ThyssenKrupp is building four of these centers - two in the region of Kanyakumari (southern tip of India) and two in the region of Nagapattinam (southeast coast). They will serve to provide both a basic medical service and first aid as well as psychological counseling of tsunami victims. The buildings are to be used as community centers in the evenings. Around 60,000 people live in the catchment area of these four centers.
