In terms of sales to customers in the Asia-Pacific region, Korea ranked number 2 behind China in fiscal year 2006/2007.
At the end of fiscal year 2006/07, about 970 people were employed by the local companies of the Stainless, Technologies, Elevator and Services segments. Local activities today include production, distribution, installation and maintenance of elevators and escalators as well as the distribution and processing of rolled and stainless steel products and the sale of nickel products, systems and components for the ship industry.
ThyssenKrupp has also has a Group Representative office in Seoul since October 2007.
