Australia is one of the traditional sales markets of the ThyssenKrupp Group in Asia/ Pacific. Railway tires and rail/track systems were supplied to Australia back in 1865. With about 470 Million € Sales with customers in Australia, it is the fourth biggest market in the region. Presently the local ThyssenKrupp companies in Australia employ around 880 people. This allows ThyssenKrupp to offer rolled steel and pipes/tubes, marine systems, machinery and equipment for mining and processing ores and minerals, petrochemical plants, elevators and escalators as well as nickel alloys through our Australian subsidiaries.
